Spinach and Sausage Pasta Bake

Ingredients

  • 3/4 pound pasta
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 pound spicy Italian sausage
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • ¼ cup heavy cream
  • 1 teaspoon dried basil
  • 1 (10 ounce) package spinach, chopped
  • ½ cup grated mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 cup grated parmesan cheese

Directions

  1. Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil.
  2. Add pasta and cook for 8 to 10 minutes or until al dente; drain and set aside.
  3. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
  4. In a large skillet, heat oil. Cook the sausages through until no longer pink. Cut sausage into ¼ inch pieces.
  5. In a large mixing bowl, add in pasta, sausage, onion, garlic, heavy cream, basil, spinach, and mozzarella cheese.
  6. Carefully transfer mixture to a large casserole dish. Sprinkle the top with parmesan cheese.
  7. Bake at 350 degrees for 25 minutes, or until desired crispiness on top.
